Portakal Kokulu Köpekler

This film is going to be about the last three years of my life telling how we became a family with stray animals and my boyfriend. Through a story about love, joy, and devotion between animals and us, I will try to explore and empathize with the inner feelings, fears, and struggles of animals in the complex and chaotic human world. Through the film’s content, I aim to tackle the concept that animals have interests in leading their own lives and all animals to be treated with respect and wisdom. The film will be developed with a mixture of creative approaches with real and musical dream sessions of dogs telling their poetic, childish, and painful stories with their head voices. Some of the dog's dream scenes are an adaptation of “The Thief’s Journal” by Jean Genet and “The Dreams of A Ridiculous Man” by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
